As Country Manager, you will take full ownership of the Botswana entity – leading an experienced team, accelerating performance, and ensuring resilient, compliant, and impactful operations in a dynamic environment.

Role is based in Gaborone, Botswana.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ExpressCredit Botswana operations
- Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with global goals
- Ensure operational excellence, legal compliance, and performance targets are met
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost optimization
- Represent the organization with key stakeholders, regulators, and business partners
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing local team
- Ensure sustainable growth while adapting to the needs of the local market
- Foster relationships with local institutions, regulators, and service providers
- Own the P&L, reporting to regional leadership and driving performance targets
- Champion our customer-first culture and community-focused mission
Requirements
- Proven experience in executive leadership or country management, preferably in financial services or FinTech
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and operational management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership capabilities
- Ability to work in diverse cultural and regulatory environments
- Experience in markets with significant cash economy is an advantage
- Higher education in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Strong leadership, operational, and problem-solving skills
- Full working proficiency in English
