2. COVERAGE REPORT ADMINISTRATOR

OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Manages and analyse data, and generates reports related to stock coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General and Task Management

• Transfer Goods in Transit (GIT) information from the Purchase Order Tracker (POT)
• Run Stock Aging Report (SOH) (every 2-weeks) and add to the Coverage Report
• Download the MRP (weekly buckets) to determine the demand (when new releases are added and MRP run)
• Using the weekly demand download, calculate the daily average and compare it to the line capacity, which would determine daily coverage per part
• Merge weekly demand, SOH and GIT to ensure the pipeline is full
• Report potential risks within the supply chain, to the responsible Expeditors/Manager
• Coverage of <10 days must be escalated immediately to mitigate any risk of plant stoppage
• Always ensure that new parts, if any, are added to the report and expedited accordingly. This is acquired by running the Summary Report to check what new harnesses, if any, have been planned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS (FOR BOTH PURCHASE ORDER AND COVERAGE REPORT ADMINISTRATOR POSITIONS)

• BGCSE (minimum)
• Degree, diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, or equivalent
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification or studying towards CIPS qualification would be beneficial
• Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
• Experience of working closely with suppliers
• Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
• An understanding of automotive processes and components would be advantageous
• Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities
