COVID-19 Nurses – FHI 360

The objective of the position is to support the Botswana response to COVID-19 under the Accelerating Progress In Communities (APC 2 ) mandate, vision and mission.

We seek suitable candidates for the following position;

COVID -19 Nurses [ 5 months Temporarily Appointment]

The incumbent/s will support the implementation of COVID -19 activities across various Districts; [Gaborone, Greater Francistown, Kweneng East.South East, Ghanzi and Kgatleng].

Summary of responsibilities

• Support the MOHW to conduct case management, contact tracing and listing, surveillance activities in the community, using MOHW guidelines and SOP’s
• Provide screening and testing for COVID -19 as necessary
• Work with District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) to develop coordination mechanisms and structures with partners to coordinate COVID-19 activities
• Administer COVID-19 vaccine to eligible clients
• Provide COVID education and awareness to clients
• Report on the programme indicators as per COVID reporting tools and times

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in General Nursing with a minimum of 7 years of relevant Work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 5-7 years of work experience is an added advantage
• Previous work in the COVID-19 response is another added advantage
• Registration with the Nursing Council is a prerequisite
