The purpose of the position is to leverage from the synergies between all the different industries in the market and the divisions within Botswana Bureau of Standards and aggressively seek opportunities in the market for the organisation.

  • The successful applicant will be expected to act as a business development link between the Managing Director and the core functions of the Bureau and be responsible for business product generation and sales.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Masters Degree in Science or Engineering. MBA would be an added advantage
  • Experience: At least eight (8) years of post qualifying experience of which at least 3 years should be at Management level. Experience in Standardization and Quality Management is essential and good communication and PR skills are desirable.
  • Competencies: Management and leadership skills. Strategic vision, innovation and initiative Pro-active and assertive Strong communication and interpersonal skills
