Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily despatch operations, workflow and delivery schedules
- Allocate loads, routes and vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation and delivery efficiency
- Monitor despatch metrics, resolve delays and operational exceptions
- Coordinate with Operations, Workshop and other teams to ensure fleet readiness
- Ensure accurate, complete and audit-ready despatch documentation and system records
- Supervise, coach and hold despatch personnel accountable for performance
- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, transport regulations, HSSEQ requirements and safe despatch practices
Requirements
- Tertiary degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- 5+ years despatch operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Excellent people management and operational coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in logistics and transport management systems
- Valid driver’s license (Class B) and willingness to travel within the assigned region
- Highly organised, hands-on and results-driven logistics professional who can confidently coordinate despatch operations, optimise routes and resources, and maintain strong operational control
- A decisive, proactive leader with effective people skills, excellent communication ability, strong attention to detail and a firm commitment to HSSEQ, compliance, accountability and customer service
