Responsible for operating heavy duty hydraulic and mechanically operated drilling equipment to drill through rocks for blasting purposes.

Key Responsibilities
- Drilling holes for blasting, sampling or exploration and maintain parameters as instructed by the Overseer Miner
- Perform daily inspections, and report any malfunctions
- Adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensuring a safe organised work environment
- Maintaining daily log sheets of drilling progress and equipment issues
- Maintaining accurate hole depth, angle and alignment
- Ore, waste drilling and ground support
- Perform pre and post truck operation inspections
- Assist engineering teams with both planned and breakdown maintenance
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Rig Operator
- Underground Mining Experience
- Valid operator certificate
- Ability to read and write reports in English
- Valid medical record
- Team player
