SALARY: B4 (P39 036.00 – P46 416.00 per annum)

LEAVE: 30 working days per annum

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of Primary School Leaving Certificate, be in possession of Botswana Drivers Licenses Class “B” “C” and “D” (for trucks and buses respectively) and PRDD “Goods” and “Special” – Minibus (16 – 30 seats)

EXPERIENCE
• At least 2 years satisfactory service at Driver III, B5 scale or with a minimum of two years proven driving experience

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To operate an ensure proper use of Land Board vehicles in the execution of the mandate of the organization




DUTIES
1. Operates light duty vehicles up to 3500 kg maximum including trailers (750kg) and any other permitted by license
2. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, which includes removal and fitment of tires, washing of vehicles and ensuring tires are inflated to correct pressure.
3. Perform pre-tip inspection and ensure the vehicle they are assigned is road-worthy
4. Ensure the proper loading of authorized goods, the security and safety of loads being carried and the safe unloading of their vehicles at their destination
5. Drives heavy-duty vehicles exceeding 3500kg maximum weight (for non-articulated vehicles) up to 16000kg maximum weight including trailer
6. Drives all non-articulated buses above 3500kg
7. Supervises one or more Laborers
8. Cleans vehicle parking areas
9. Act as driver in charge when more than one vehicle, but less than five are assigned to a specific duty
10. Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management
