Apex Solar is looking for a skilled Electrician to join our solar plant operations team in Gaborone. The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within solar or power plant environments, ensuring efficient operation and safety of all electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of solar plant electrical systems
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs to minimize plant downtime
- Maintain safety standards and comply with statutory and company regulations
- Generator repair and maintenance
- Switchboard maintenance
- UPS and battery bank maintenance
- Inverter maintenance and daily inverter checks
- Weekly string current checking
- ACDB checklist monitoring
- Prepare and send daily generation reports
- Maintain DTH and O&M monthly reports
- Daily inspection of HT & LT panels and MSB panels
- MC4 connector checks
- Switchyard maintenance
- Transformer maintenance
- Lightning Arrester (LA) maintenance
- Panel cleaning reports
- Grass cutting reports
- Generator maintenance activities
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical / solar plant maintenance
- Certified Electrician / Electrical qualification preferred
- Age 30 years and above
- Strong troubleshooting and safety compliance skills
