Cresta Marakanelo Limited, a leading hospitality group operating 11 hotels across Botswana, invites applications from an accomplished and visionary Executive Chef to join our team. We are seeking a highly skilled culinary leader with international exposure and the ability to demonstrate expertise across diverse global cuisines. The successful candidate will drive innovation, consistency, and excellence in all kitchen operations while leading and inspiring high-performing culinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage culinary operations across all food outlets, ensuring consistent quality and brand standards.
- Design, develop, and execute menus that reflect international culinary trends and diverse cuisines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop kitchen teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Manage food costs, inventory, and procurement to maximize profitability and efficiency.
- Introducing modern cooking techniques and continuously improving culinary offerings.
- Manage procurement and supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Executive Chef or senior leadership level within a 3-5-star hotel or similar environment.
- Proven international work experience within the hospitality or culinary industry.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage multiple cuisines (continental, regional, and international).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
