Executive Sous Chef – Xigera Safari Camp in the Delta

Great Explorations / Xigera Safari Lodge is looking for a qualified, well experienced, mature, and suitable person to join their team in the capacity of an Executive Sous Chef based at Xigera Safari Camp in the Delta.

Job Summary: Responsible for the consistent preparation of international standard menus and creative meals of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the dining guests, banquets, and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction. Additionally, responsible for food and equipment stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and staff training within the kitchen department.

Qualifications

Diploma in Culinary Arts & Beverages

Work experience & Requirements

• 3-5 Years working experience as a sous Chef.
• Anticipate guest needs, as certain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Able to prepare different Food menus
• Host guests according to the standards to ensure superior service
• Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Able to demonstrate high standards of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Must have worked in a lodge or similar set up.
• Must have a clean Police clearance
• International Language and leadership training will be an added advantage

Remuneration: A salary will be offered which matches the qualifications, experience and expected contribution of the successful candidate.
