Job Summary:

Farm workers are responsible for performing a variety of hands-on tasks to support the daily operations and upkeep of a farm or agricultural production facility. Their duties may include planting, harvesting, animal care, equipment operation, and general maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting of crops such as fruits, vegetables, grains, etc.
– Feed, water, and provide basic care for livestock, poultry, and other farm animals
– Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment like tractors, tillers, mowers, etc.
– Load, unload, and transport harvested crops, supplies, and other materials
– Perform general repairs and upkeep on farm buildings, fences, and other infrastructure
– Monitor the health and condition of crops, livestock, and equipment
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage spaces
– Follow all farm safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
– Collaborate with other farm workers and supervisors to complete tasks
– Assist with other general farm duties as required

Qualifications:

– 1-2 years of prior experience working on a farm or in an agricultural setting
– Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
– Familiarity with operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
– Knowledge of proper animal care and crop cultivation practices
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
