G4S (Botswana) Limited invites suitable candidates for the below mentioned positions tenable in Gaborone, Lobatse, Jwaneng and Francistown
FIELD OFFICER – FRANCISTOWN (X1)
*Key Performance Areas
Carrying out Patrols • Ensure that you patrol all bases in your region at their bases.
•Ensure that crews are properly seated in their respective vehicles.
•Demand that alarms that crews report that rooftops are too high for stepladder be reported to you.
•Follow up least six (6) crews calling each person in respect their driving, and reaction skills, and whether they carry hand cuffs and baton sticks.
•Demand that alarms that report that rooftops are too high for stepladder be reported to you.
•Ensure immediate corrective/disciplinary action is taken on underperformance and/or offences by crews..
*Provision and Maintenance of Equipment
•Ensure that radios and torches reach crews before their shifts commence.
•Radios and torches should be fully charged before reaching the crews.
•Report any equipment that needs attention or replacement.
•Timely action for mis-handling or damage of equipment.
•Equipment to be checked on a daily basis and counter sign for VCF that they have been seen.
*Ensure compliance with the response time
•Compile weekly response times and discuss with section leaders and supervisors.
•Ensure that response times are kept below set target times.
•Investigate and take action for any delay that is questionable.
•Ensure that crews are familiar with all bases within their respective regions.
•Ensure that crews know the importance of meeting set target times.
•Take corrective/disciplinary action against crews/regions that fail to meet their set target times.
*Timely and accurate reporting (Incident reports)
•Ensure timely after break-in call – all break-ins should be attended within 20 minutes of occurring.
•Escalate any incident/issue that needs urgent attention.
•Report any major incident to superiors for attention.
•Ensure that incident reports reach clients.
*Occurrence Book, Delay Book, VCF, Timesheets
•Pick and act on any report or delay that requires attention.
•Ensure proper completion of documents i.e. time sheets.
•Sign off ALL checked documents to confirm that they have been checked.
*Handling and handover of Master Key
•Ensure that all the master keys are available at all designated bases on a daily bases
•Ensure that laid down MasterKey procedures are followed (per 04Nov10 MEMO, or any overriding instructions or procedures).
•Ensure that supervisors lock the masterkey onto the metal buckle of the webelt.
•Ensure that keys to masterkey padlocks are handled by supervisors ONLY.
•A record of crew members carrying masterkeys, and supervisors carrying the padlock keys are registered per shift.
•Check at least 6 crews, to confirm masterkeys are locked on appropriately, and that the right supervisor is carrying the padlock key.
•Take corrective action measures immediately when issues arise.
*Ensuring minimum downtime of vehicles from Fleet department
•Demand timely release of vehicles at the workshop, and they are reported for repairs.
•Ensure vehicle cleanliness.
•Ensure that all accidents are reported to the police and timely action taken.
•Ensure proper vehicle hand-over (crews, and yourselves), including hand-over signatures.
•Ensure timely fuelling of vehicles in a vehicle to fuel after 12 except authorised by Field Officer.
•Vehicles should be used only for G4S authorised business.
•All accidents should be timely recorded in the accident register.
•Ensure all damage to Response vehicles is attended to urgently.
*Carrying out Parades
•Attend at least two (2) parades per shift and report back.
•Ensure that staff coming on shift arrive at the parade spot 15 minutes before.
•Ensure that the front row is occupied by staff coming on duty and staff knocking off the back row.
•Ensure proper staff pairing – staff should complement each other.
•Ensure that all staff change shifts at the parade.
•Ensure that all staff have their hair shortly trimmed, no facial hair,shoes polished, uniform ironed.
•The shirt should be neatly tucked into the trousers and the trousers should be turned in at bottom.
•Under no circumstances should an officer not properly dressed in uniform, handcuffs and baton be posted for work.
*Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• BGCSE/ O’Level Certificate and a Customer Service Diploma or relevant certificate will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in the supervisory environment
• A(5) year old clean drivers’ license-two (2) years proven record of *MANUAL* driving experience,
• The ability to build and maintain credible relationships throughout the business
• Commercial mind-set and hands-on approach.
