Key Responsibilities

• Machining, Modifying & manufacturing various components in house for heavy plant machinery using lathes, milling machines, Grinders. Etc
• Be able to Implement Maintenance systems for machinery/ service schedules.
• Management of site mechanics out of Gaborone.
• Procurement capabilities- sourcing & ordering parts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Class one skilled worker fitter & turner, including machining
• Certificate in machine shop engineering training
• Certificate in hydraulics & Pneumatics
• Certificate in Supervisory Management
• Certificate in Principals & practice of supervisory management
• Certificate in Production & General Engineering
• Experience in machining bushes & pins to required standard & quality
• Must be experienced in Hydraulics & Pneumatic Systems including fault finding and diagnostics.
• Experience with Hitachi Excavators (20-40ton), JCB, Shantui front end loaders, Hidromek & Komatsu Excavators, Cat Graders, Cat Dozers; including fault finding/ diagnostics & repairs of the above.
• Must have good communication skills
