Key Responsibilities

  • Translate organisational strategy into structured, measurable programmes, while providing overall leadership of daily operations to ensure the achievement of annual targets and sustained profitability.
  • Lead the organisation’s AI strategic oversight function, ensuring ethical stewardship, governance, and alignment of AI initiatives with business strategy and objectives to achieve competitive advantage locally and regionally.
  • Prepare and present monthly data analytics and performance reports to the Managing Director and Shareholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) BOS 24:2009 requirements applicable to concrete roof tile manufacturing.
  • Lead and manage BOBS quality audits, ensuring organisational procedures and processes remain compliant at all times.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of PRINCE2 methodologies, tools, techniques and construction materials to ensure that manufacturing and operational processes are effectively controlled.
  • Engage effectively with key business stakeholders, formulate and implement strategies and ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Demonstrate strong competence in planning, budgeting, productivity improvement, and cost optimisation to drive sustainable profitability.
  • Develop, mentor, and build the capacity of management and operational teams.
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership, communication, team-building, and client-engagement skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years’ progressive professional experience gained within the built environment and/or manufacturing sectors.
  • At least 2 years’ experience at General Manager level or equivalent senior management role, within the concrete roof tile manufacturing or related industry, with demonstrable responsibility for organisational transformation, strategy execution and operational leadership.
  • Proven experience leading, managing, and delivering cross-functional and business-critical projects involving key stakeholders within the built environment sector.
  • Ability to provide strategic oversight of Artificial Intelligence initiatives as the organisation transitions to leverage AI for improved operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
  • Practical knowledge and application of PRINCE2 project management methodology within a controlled manufacturing environment.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent professional project management certification required.
  • Minimum Certificate qualification in Artificial Intelligence in Business, Digital Transformation, or a related field required.
  • Minimum Certificate qualification in Project Management required.
