Key Responsibilities
- Develops and executes business strategies and plans for entry and growth in the region.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key business partners, regulatory authorities, and reinsurers.
- Coordinates business development activities in the region to drive profitable growth and market share.
- Manages the teams operating in the region to ensure achievement of performance targets.
- Ensures compliance with all statutory and industry regulations applicable in the region.
- Prepares budgets, monitors performance, and reviews variance analysis for all operations.
- Provides strong leadership to the teams and manages talent.
Requirements
- Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years working experience, five of which should be in reinsurance or insurance at senior management level.
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory environment in East and Central Africa.
- Proven business leadership, financial, and strategic capability.
