3 General Practitioners

Overview
The General Practitioner (GP) is a primary care physician who provides comprehensive and continuous medical care to patients of all ages. GPs are responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as promoting preventive healthcare and patient education.

Responsibilities

– Conduct comprehensive patient examinations to assess medical history, symptoms, and overall health status
– Diagnose and treat common medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries, including but not limited to:
– Respiratory infections
– Skin conditions
– Musculoskeletal issues
– Gastrointestinal disorders
– Mental health concerns
– Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, which may include:
– Prescribing medications
– Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
– Providing counseling and lifestyle advice
– Referring patients to specialists when necessary
– Monitor and manage ongoing medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
– Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals
– Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and privacy requirements
– Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and medical advancements
– Promote preventive healthcare measures, such as immunizations, cancer screenings, and health risk assessments
– Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy behaviors, and self-management of chronic conditions
– Serve as a patient advocate and trusted healthcare advisor

 Qualifications

– Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
– Completed a residency program in family medicine or internal medicine
– Current and valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction
– Board certification or eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine
– Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to make well-informed decisions
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
– Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
– Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
