Head – Advisory and Consulting Services

Job Summary

Provides strategic, operational, and financial guidance to help clients to enhance performance, manage risks, and achieve business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies for clients, including market entry plans, expansion strategies, and diversification, particularly for manufacturing firms or energy companies pursuing renewable projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and business valuations for investments in agriculture (e.g.,agribusiness ventures) or energy (e.g., hydropower or solar projects) and other industrties.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance to enhance audit committee effectiveness and mitigate earnings management risks.
• Overall responsile for risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, such as fraud risks (e.g., earnings management) or operational risks in manufacturing supply chains and other industries etc.
• Develop enterprise risk management (ERM) programs for insurance and public interest entities to strengthen governance.
• Responsible for financial performance reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities, such as streamlining production in manufacturing or optimizing premiums in insurance.
• Advise SMEs on cash flow management and budgeting to improve financial stability and compliance with tax obligations.
• Support energy clients with project financing strategies, including public-private partnerships (PPPs) for renewable energy projects.
• Monitor regulatory changes, such as updates to the Commercial Code or tax laws, and advise clients on risk mitigation.
• Advise on implementing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) for SMEs to improve bookkeeping and IFRS compliance.
• Assist insurance companies with technology solutions for premium tracking and claims management, reducing fraud risks.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise clients on their impact, such as updates to VAT or income tax laws.
• Responsible for ensuring that clients are trained on IFRS, financial management, and regulatory compliance, particularly for SMEs with limited expertise.
• Provide sector-specific training, such as governance for insurance audit committees or cost management for manufacturing.

Qualifications and Experience

• MBA or a master’s degree in Business Management, Finance and Economics or equivalent.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Management Consultant (CMC) are an added advantage
• A minimum of 10 years of business consulting and advising experience is required in a similar role.
• The capacity to develop and implement effective strategies for clients is a core competency
• Proficiency with an ERP softwares and data analysis tools is necessary for informed decision-making
