Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with hygiene, feeding, mobility, toileting and comfort under nursing direction
- Make up recovery/treatment areas, tidy bed spaces and ensure areas are clean and stocked
- Theatre / CSSD: assist with receiving, cleaning and packing of instruments and turnaround under supervision
- Take and record basic observations (e.g. temperature, pulse) as delegated
- Support admissions, discharges and transfers
- A&E / OPD: assist with patient handling, chaperoning and stocking of the department
- Help with safe patient positioning, transfers and handling
Requirements
- Certificate in Nursing Auxiliary / Healthcare Assistant or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Basic patient-care training or experience
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and work in a team
- Experience in a hospital or care setting (desirable)
- First-aid or basic life-support training (desirable)
