Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, Repair, Maintain Vehicles and heavy plant including Excavators, TLBs, Graders, Dozers, Loaders, Rollers, Tipper Trucks. Develop and carry out preventive maintenance as per service schedule (engine, hydraulics, transmission, brakes, electrics). Perform field breakdown repairs on site and attend to emergency breakdowns after hours. Hydraulics & Diagnostics Diagnose hydraulic system failures, read hydraulic schematics, test pressures and flows. Use diagnostic tools. Adhere to SHE safety standards. Documentation & Stock Complete and job cards, service reports, and parts requisition forms daily. Supervise Assistant Mechanics / General Workers. Train Operators on daily checks (oil, water, grease, tracks). Liaise with Operators and Site Foremen on machine performance.
Requirements
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE NCC or Equivalent – Heavy Plant / Diesel Plant & Auto Mechanics (With intensive knowledge in earth moving equipment repairs and diagnostics. 8+ years’ experience on heavy construction equipment. Valid driver’s license Class EC will be added advantage.
