Bush Ways Safaris and Lodges are seeking a diligent and organized HR Administrator to support our growing HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with the onboarding/offboarding process, updating HR policies, and acting as the first point of contact for employee queries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient day-to-day operations of our human resources function.
Compensation will be determined by the individual’s level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate, confidential electronic and physical personnel files, including tracking attendance and leave.
- Coordinating job postings, scheduling interviews, and managing communication with candidates.
- Processing new hire paperwork, conducting inductions, and handling employee terminations.
- Assisting with payroll preparation by providing data on absences or bonuses and helping with benefits administration.
- Track training metrics and generate reports on completion rates and feedback.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records of employee training, certifications, and attendance, ensuring compliance.
- Prepare, organize, and distribute training materials, handouts, and equipment.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding training opportunities and development.
Requirements
- Education: A Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is often preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Previous experience in an HR or administrative role.
- Knowledgeable on Industrial relations and Labour law (an added advantage).
