Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) – Financial Services Sector
We are seeking a highly experienced, insightful, and dynamic individual to join the board of our client, a regional leader in the Financial Services Sector, as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED).

The ideal candidate will bring valuable insights and extensive experience to the board, particularly in the following areas:

•Industry-Specific Knowledge:
o Familiarity with the financial services sector in African markets, including market dynamics and challenges.
•Product Management:
o Experience in product development and lifecycle management.
o Understanding of go-to-market strategies
• Human Capital Management:
o Expertise in talent acquisition, retention, and development.
o Knowledge of HR trends such as analytics, workforce planning, and diversity initiatives.
o Creating a positive organizational culture that enhances employee engagement and productivity.
o Understanding regulatory frameworks related to executive pay.
o Aligning executive compensation with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
•Critical Thinking:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
o Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions
•Board Collaboration and Governance:
o Effective collaboration with board members and senior executives.
o Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
o Providing strategic insights tailored to the organization’s needs.

•Relationship Management:
o Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
o Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
•Social and Ethics:
o Commitment to high ethical standards and corporate social responsibility.
o Knowledge of social and ethical issues in the financial services sector.

Qualifications:

•Previous experience serving on corporate boards, preferably as an INED or remuneration committee member, at a regional or international level.
•Thorough understanding of governance, board responsibilities, and fiduciary duties.
Successful applicants are expected to have considerable work experience at a high/strategic level.
