WE ARE HIRING-JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Dikgosana Association is a registered Association under the Societies’Act of the Republic of Botswana with a coverage membership of Headman throughout Botswana.The Dikgosana Association was officially registered in 2012 with the aim to strengthen the role of traditional leadership in Botswana’s governance and ensure that the voices of all Dikgosana are heard and respected.To improve our operational capacity and optimize our efficiency, we are restructuring our accounting department and seek the services of a detail-oriented and adaptable Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing and modernizing financial operation while gaining hands-on experience. As a Junior Accountant, you will support the day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in helping us build more streamlined, transparent, and accurate accounting processes. You’ll work closely with the Office Manager and team
members during this pivotal transformation phase.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing new accounting procedures and tools
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Support the processing of accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and assist with general ledger entries
Submit periodic tax returns to the tax authority
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain members’records and contributions
Assist in preparation of the annual budgets and monitoring expenditure
Assist with audits and financial reviews
Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum AAT level 4 with at least 3 years’relevant work experience
Must be a BICA registered member in good standing
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with accounting software (Quick Books, Sage,
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to thrive in a changing environment and take initiative
Excellent communication and time management skills
Must be a holder of a minimum class B driving license with at least 2 years driving experience
