A leading Internet Service Provider in Botswana looking for a suitably and self-driven individual to apply for the following vacancy:

JUNIOR CYBERSECURITY ANALYST

The main duties will be:

• Provide 24/7 managed security services, monitoring, triaging, and escalating security events for our diverse client base.
• Monitoring and analysing security alerts from our SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system.
• Performing initial investigations and escalating confirmed incidents to senior analysts.
• Documenting all actions and findings in our ticketing system.
• Monitoring the health and status of security sensors and client endpoints.
• Developing a foundational understanding of various security technologies.

The candidate must demonstrate the following Capabilities:

• Foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• A process-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to following procedures and playbooks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to remain clear and effective under pressure.
• Strong team player with a proven willingness to learn new technologies and concepts rapidly.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must hold a Degree in an ICT, Telecommunication, or Engineering-related field.
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+ or EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, VPNs, Firewalls) and foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
