Responsible Lending Group is an Investment and Finance Group based in Botswana.

The Group’s core activity is short to medium term finance through various financing types such as Property Mortgage Re-finance, Property Bridging Finance, Property Development Loans, Vehicle Re-finance, Pawn Short – Medium Term Secured Financing), Purchase Order Finance, Invoice Discounting Finance, Personal and SME Overdraft Facility, SME Secured Term Loans, Micro-Lending (Short – Medium Term Unsecured Finance)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Officer to join our legal team. This role is ideal for recent law graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in financial services, contract law, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

·Draft and review loan agreements, internal documents, and legal correspondence

·Assist in debt collection litigation matters and attend court as required

·Conduct legal research and assist in compliance-related tasks

·Support the legal team with contract reviews, due diligence, and document preparation

·Maintain and manage legal files, databases, and correspondence records

·Perform other administrative and legal tasks as assigned by the Legal Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

·Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution

·Completion of pupillage is preferred but not mandatory

·Strong legal research and writing skills

·High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

·Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively

·Interest or experience in financial services, debt recovery, or commercial law is an advantage
