Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following position: FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS, EDUCATION AND EXTENSION
Key Responsibilities
- teach undergraduate and post graduate courses
- provide research and academic leadership in agricultural extension and rural development
- supervise students’ research projects
- participate in individual and/or collaborative research in agricultural extension and related areas
- be involved in curriculum review and development of new academic programmes for undergraduate and post graduate levels in agricultural extension
- undertake other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- LECTURER (i) Possess a minimum of a PhD in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized university.
- LECTURER (ii) Possess a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized university.
- LECTURER (iii) Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized university.
- LECTURER (iv) University teaching experience and a good research and publications record will be an added advantage.
- SENIOR LECTURER (i) A minimum of a PhD in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized institution.
- SENIOR LECTURER (ii) Possess a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized institution.
- SENIOR LECTURER (iii) Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Extension or related field from a recognized institution.
- SENIOR LECTURER (iv) Extensive publications in a wide array of quality publication outlets and refereed journals. A minimum of six (6) research products, at least four (4) of which are refereed journal articles reflecting a spread of national, regional and international journals; lead and/or single author in at least two (2) refereed journal articles or book chapters.
- SENIOR LECTURER (v) A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at a university or equivalent institution.
- SENIOR LECTURER (vi) Should have served at a position of Lecturer for at least three (3) years and has significant and original contribution to the discipline through research and/or scholarship.
- SENIOR LECTURER (vii) Evidence of attraction of research grants from external sources.
