Maintenance Manager

Johan Calitz Safaris is looking for a Maintenance Manager.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Extensive experience in similar environments.
• Recognised Technical Qualifications, preferably within Trades comprising a sound broad knowledge of building, plumbing, electrical skills.
• A sound knowledge of Diesel driven generating plant and 4×4 motor vehicles and other motorized equipment
• Must be highly adaptable and able to integrate, as well the ability to work well as an overall lodge team member.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
• The ability to communicate fluently and effectively at all levels.

Minimum of 15 years of work experience in a technical/ mechanical environment. Strong management skills. Requires proven ability to oversee all technical maintenance aspects including solar and electrical installations, plumbing, building, equipment maintenance and be able to project manage. A driver’s license, and must be willing to live in remote areas for extended periods, working long flexible hours.
