Key Responsibilities
- Drive the performance of the digital product services, customer loyalty programs and VAS portfolio to achieve sales revenue, profitability, transaction and customer engagement targets.
- Utilize customer loyalty database to understand consumer behavior, identify opportunities for market growth and develop customized offerings for the customers.
- Manage and grow Value-Added Services and Money Market offering, including the sale of airtime, prepaid electricity, bill payments, money transfers and remittances, vouchers, payment solutions and other customer convenience services.
- Plan and manage the roll-out of projects to ensure timeliness, stakeholder engagement, and value addition to the business.
- Manage relationships with banks, fintech companies, mobile network operators, payment providers, loyalty partnered and other strategic service providers.
- Participate in the negotiation and review of commercial terms, commissions, transaction fees, rebates, partnership agreements and service-level agreements with service providers.
- Conduct ad hoc staff briefings for the branches and support departments on the roll-out of projects to ensure buy-in and standardize understanding of the services.
- Monitor performance by store, region, customer segment, service category and service provider, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions where required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, business management, marketing, digital business, finance, information systems or a related field of study. A professional certification in project management, business management, digital transformation, or data analytics will be an added advantage.
- Eight (8) years’ relevant experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, banking, fintech, telecommunications, payment platforms, customer loyalty programs, or digital services. At least three (3) years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory position, with responsibility for delivering commercial or customer-focused initiatives.
- Practical experience in at least two or more of the following areas: driving customer loyalty and rewards programmes, Value-Added Services (VAS), Money Market or payment services, digital products and customer platforms, fintech or payment solutions, customer analytics, and commercial partnerships.
- Able to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with service providers and internal customers.
- Decisive, committed to ethical business practice, able to interpret consumer trends and management reports.
- A Class B driver’s license.
