MANAGER- FACILITIES – BOU

VACANCY 

Main Purpose of the Job

Leads the planning, development and management of the University’s facilities, including infrastructure, equipment, and maintenance, to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas

• Directs the formulation and implementation of effective strategies for providing and maintaining adequate, safe, and secure facilities and infrastructure.

• Coordinates and controls the management of capital projects, facilities maintenance, procurement of equipment and materials, and cost control.

• Ensures that the university complies with all health, safety, waste management, and environmental regulations to promote the routine use of facilities in a safe and sustainable manner.

• Coordinates and supervises the activities of contractors for cost-effectiveness, safety, and timely completion of works.

• Leads the development and implementation of facilities management policies and procedures.

• Safeguards facilities and accident hazards to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and university policies.

Qualifications, Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management/Project Management/Facilities Management/Construction Management/Civil Engineering/Building Services or a related field.

• At least 7 years post qualification experience in facilities management or building maintenance.

• Experience in a higher education, Regulatory or any other similar institution will be an added advantage.
