MANAGER (FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT) E2 X 1

Applications are invited from talented, decisive and self-driven individuals for the above mentioned position in the Ministry of Transport and Communications – Headquarters.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide leadership in the implementation, management and coordination of finance and development functions.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Advice the Ministry on financial and development issues.
• Monitor expenditure against the budget.
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual financials reports.
• Monitor the implementation of financial regulations and procedures.
• Monitor projects and maintenance works.
• Develop operational guidelines and procedures.
• Improve divisional work processes.
• Review plans and programs to facilitate the implementation of development and finance strategies.
• Coordinate the development of the Ministry’s budget estimates.
• Monitor the budget for development projects.
• Coordinate preparation and manage the recurrent budget for the Ministry’s Parastatals.
• Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Finance or Accounting or Business Administration or Economics

EXPERIENCE: Fourteen (14) years’ experience in accounting or Project Management of which two (2) years should have been served at D1 level or equivalent. SALARY SCALE: E2 (P373.152 – P388.236) per annum

 

BENEFITS:

• Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%).
• A contract of 24 to 36 months, with gratuity at the rate of 30% payable upon end of contract.
