Marketing Trainee

Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator, the successful candidate will assist in executing marketing campaigns, content creation, and brand visibility efforts across various channels for MTN Business Botswana:

Responsibilities:

– *Social Media Management:* Help manage and schedule posts on our social media platforms, track engagement metrics, and suggest improvements.
– Assist in conducting market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential opportunities.
– Assist in creating and sending email campaigns, including drafting content and tracking performance.
– Analyze marketing data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and provide insights for improvement.
– Assist with various administrative tasks related to marketing operations.
– Support in planning and executing activations, SME engagements, and brand campaigns.
– Capture and organise content (photos/videos) from marketing activities and internal events.
– Draft captions, social media posts, and marketing copy.
– Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
– Maintain a digital archive of marketing assets and assist in report and presentation preparation.
– Employee may be asked to complete other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Skills:

– Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content
– Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
– Understands the importance of meeting internal and external deadlines and can adapt to changing priorities
– Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
– Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, or other content tools will be an added advantage
– Self-driven with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualification and Experience:

– Recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
– Interest in building a career in marketing, content creation, or brand communication.

Other Requirements:

– Driver’s license will be an added advantage
