Key Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance of water purification plants including replacement of consumables, membranes, and filters.
• Ensure water disinfection systems are always functional and make such records as necessary.
• Optimize company revenue by ensuring proper handling and maintenance of operational equipment.
• Supervise, guide and assign tasks to subordinates to ensure smooth running of daily operations and production of water services and projects.
• Maintain proper operational records to avoid damage to operational equipment including pumps.
• Installation and commissioning of small to medium scale water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Ensure proper water reticulation and storage in the workplace by minimizing or eliminating water losses by doing tank leak repairs, pipework maintenance and replacement where necessary.
• Ensure water storage facilities are kept at optimum levels, maintain cleanliness and safe storage of water by adhering to facilities cleaning schedules and maintaining such.
• Ensure continuous power supply to water treatment facilities by making power backup generator connections.
• Minor repairs of company vehicles.
• Ensure subordinate’s proper keeping of operational records.
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• QUALIFICATION: TRADE TEST B MECHANICAL ENGINEERING or its EQUIVALENT
• At least two (2) years experience in any relevant field.
• Must be between 21-30 Years of age.
• Driver’s license (a must) for both automatic and manual transmission (at least one year driving experience).
• Problem solving abilities and innovative (a must).
• Pro active.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Willingness and eagerness of learning new skills to broaden scope of knowledge.
• Good verbal and written communication skills (a must).
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure.
• Solid Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to supervise with good supervisory skills (a must).
