Key Responsibilities
- Optimally manage large parts inventory.
- Responsible for implementing and managing a pro-active parts sales and business prospecting plan.
- Business development & direct customer relationship management.
- Ensuring activities within parts department are geared to maximising customer satisfaction through active relationship marketing/management.
- Stock Take, stock control and parts security.
- Efficiently use and maintain systems-based ordering system, pricing, and accurate transaction processing.
- Managing multiple teams across several branches, nationally.
- Logistically efficient ordering and shipping of parts within and outside of the country.
- Working closely with our Service team to ensure customers receive optimal cost of ownership and value-added service.
- Implementation of regular marketing activities to promote parts sales and campaigns.
- Continuous assessment of competitor product offerings and ensuring dynamic, competitive pricing to maximise sales penetration.
- Overall accountability for all inventory management related activities.
Requirements
- 10+ years management experience
- 10 + years in the heavy equipment/earthmoving industry
- 5+ years in a Parts Management role
- Strong inventory management, customer relationship, business development and leadership skills required
- JCB experience will be a distinct advantage
- Strong leadership skills, initiative and drive
- Sound technical knowledge of earth moving equipment (especially JCB products)
