As a lucrative stakeholder in the pharmaceutical distribution sector, our business has seen a satisfactory growth which has catapulted our operations into the expansion and introducing of a chain of Pharmacies around Botswana.

We are looking for a National Pharmacy Manager, the most suitable candidate is a Qualified Pharmacist; you should have served extensively in the management and operations of Pharmacies. An international experience serving in a capacity of this nature will be a lucrative gain for the group.

The most suitable candidate must have extensive experience in strategic planning, coordination, and training, whilst managing the day-to-day operations of multiple pharmacies. Your capacity as a National Pharmacy Manager with wide-spread international experience is to oversee and implement strategies that will enable the company to realise and exceed its strategic expansion plan of opening multiple pharmacies countrywide and sustaining the operations and the core objectives. Business development is an integral aspect of your office, and the ideal candidate is expected to evaluate the needs of a pharmacies, implement training and development plans is paramount.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Executive Director and will form a part of the Senior Management Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Program, direct, review and rectify all protocols, for the chain of Pharmacies.
• Render assistance to the technical and professional personnel in mixing.
• Evaluate and improve pharmacy operational Policies and Procedures.
• Managing the daily business operations of the pharmacies within the group.
• Managing the pharmacy human capital, in all the branches.
• Overseeing the financial and operational functions of the business.
• Implement and facilitate effective control matrices are put into place within all the Alafa pharmacies.
• Provides strategic direction to the pharmacists and pharmacy sales teams.
• Ensure delivery of broad business objectives.
• Preparation and implementation of strategic expansion plan.
• Liaises with the medical and regulatory department in Botswana to coordinate the registration and amendments to already registered products in the country.
• Resolving queries from clients.
• Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
• Drive brand values and philosophy throughout the chain of pharmacies.
• Effectively communicate with technical team and professional team and management.

EDUCATION:

• Pharmacy (Pharmacology) or equivalent
• Professional Diploma in Clinical Research/ Diploma in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 6 yrs. serving as a Pharmacy Manager/in a managerial capacity, within the industry.
• Minimum of 10 yrs. Serving as a Pharmacist.
• Must have worked internationally in this managerial capacity.
