Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all nursing services and set nursing standards, policies and protocols
- Ensure safe staffing, skill mix, rostering and workforce planning across all clinical areas
- Drive quality, patient safety, infection prevention and control, and continuous-improvement programmes
- Oversee recruitment, development, performance management and discipline of nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation (JCI-aligned) and professional requirements
- Manage the nursing budget, resources and supplies effectively
- Serve on the hospital management team and advise on clinical and operational matters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; a post-graduate qualification in Nursing Management or Administration is required or highly desirable.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana with a valid practising certificate.
- Minimum of 8 years’ nursing experience, including significant management experience
- Proven leadership of a nursing team or department
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Services Management or a related field (desirable)
- Experience in an accredited or JCI-aligned private hospital (desirable)
