Carries out internal inspections and audits in the various sections of the operation in conjunction with other stakeholders and advises clients on the development of appropriate improvements and/or remedial actions
Compile all Occupational hygiene non-conformances and opportunities for improvement into the data management system and regularly tracks, monitors and advises clients on agreed action for closure.
Prepares monthly reports on the status of the occupational hygiene compliance for the various areas and aspects of the operation and submits to management for action.
Interprets and translates Occupational Hygiene standards and facilitate implementation at operations.
Identifies and coordinates Occupational Health risk assessment requirements at the operations, including:
Identification of health hazards such as physical, chemical, ergonomic, biological and psycho-social.
Promotes Occupational Hygiene awareness and encourages positive attitudes and behaviours in the operation by:
Developing, implementing and monitoring occupational hygiene awareness
Behavior based systems and orientation courses for employees and contractors
Ensures that all safety and loss control standards (Safety Health and Environmental) contained in the Corporation’s standards are adhered to.
A recognized Degree in Occupational Hygiene or equivalent
At least three (3) years post-qualification experience with 2 years in occupational Hygiene monitoring and industry related

Ensuring compliance to BPC SHE Performance Standards and related legislation
Working under hazardous conditions such as dust, noise, abnormal temperatures, chemicals, ergonomically challenging conditions and pressures.
Maintaining consistent safe working procedures and risk assessments to be followed at all times in line with BPC safety rules.
