 OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Botswana Rugby Union (BRU), the national governing body for rugby in Botswana, is seeking a dynamic, organised, and passionate individual to serve as Operations Manager. This full-time role, based at the BRU Head Office in Gaborone, combines leadership in rugby development with day-to-day administration of the Union’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement rugby development programs in schools, clubs, and communities.
Coordinate coaching and referee education courses in line with World Rugby standards.
Manage office operations, documentation, procurement, and event logistics.
Liaise with stakeholders including schools, government agencies, and Rugby Africa.
Support national teams with technical and logistical needs.
Prepare and submit reports to the BRU Board, BNSC, and Rugby Africa.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sports administration, operations, or development.
Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
Knowledge of rugby structures and World Rugby development tools is an advantage.
Coaching or referee accreditation (World Rugby Level 1+) will be an added advantage.

Remuneration:

Gross salary range: P9,000 – P14,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience.
Additional allowances and benefits as per BRU policy.
