PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

VACANCY

We are looking for a Payroll Accountant for a luxury tourism operator in Maun.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for managing the payroll process for the company and ensuring that employees are accurately and timely paid for their work in accordance with company policies and relevant government regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or relevant field; Fully qualified Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT); Part Qualified Botswana Institute of Accountants (BICA) (or equivalent); or Qualified by Experience (Payroll Specific).

Experience:

Minimum five years’ work experience managing a large Botswana payroll function. Proficient use of payroll software packages such as VIP and Payspace.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Processing

Process monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time. Manage and Maintain payroll system.
Benefits Administration | Administer and reconcile employee benefits, such as pension fund contributions, medical aid, and other deductions.

Reporting

Ensure that all relevant documents / month end reports are compiled and filed according to relevant legislation and in accordance with financial reporting standards. Analyse and interpret payroll data and provide executive management reports.

Company & Tax Compliance

Prepare and submit all statutory reports to relevant authorities, and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Employee Support

Handle payroll queries and provide guidance to employees regarding payroll processes and policies.
