The applicant must possess a Blue Card, be registered with BHPC and must have a minimum of 3 Years’experience in a clinical or Hospital setting.

Job Summary

The Physiotherapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities. Physiotherapists develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function, mobility, and overall well-being.

 Key Responsibilities

– Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to evaluate patients’ musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular systems, as well as their functional abilities and limitations
– Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each patient, incorporating a variety of therapeutic interventions
– Provide hands-on treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and the use of specialized equipment, to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall physical function
– Educate patients and their families on the nature of their condition, the rationale for treatment, and self-management strategies to facilitate active participation in the rehabilitation process
– Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and document all aspects of care in accordance with professional and organizational standards
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care
– Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to the overall operations of the healthcare organization
– Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in the field of physiotherapy
– Advocate for the role of physiotherapy in promoting health, wellness, and injury prevention within the community

Required Qualifications

– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program
– Current licensure or certification as a Physiotherapist in the applicable state(s)
– Demonstrated clinical experience in evaluating and treating a diverse range of patient populations and diagnoses
– Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
– Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
– Proficient in the use of therapeutic equipment, assistive devices, and documentation software
– Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development

 Preferred Qualifications

– Specialization or advanced training in a particular area of physiotherapy (e.g., orthopedics, neurology, sports medicine)
– Experience in program development, quality assurance, or supervision of physiotherapy staff
– Involvement in professional organizations, research initiatives, or teaching/mentoring activities related to physiotherapy
– Fluency in multiple languages, reflecting the diverse patient population
