RHINO is seeking to appoint a POST FOR A DIESEL PLANT FITTER & PLANT MANAGER- MINING ENVIRONMENTS. This challenging role will be suited to a well experienced and detail orientated individual with a demonstrable ability to juggle multiple activities in an extremely pressurised environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in the field, especially regarding troubleshooting and diagnostics of Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic systems, cooling systems, repairs, overhauls & maintenance of fuel injection systems, exhaust systems and cooling systems.
- Experience in repairs, trouble shooting and maintaining mobile heavy duty construction equipment. Experience on maintenance and repair on pressure vessels and lifting equipment.
- Experience in Systems; namely Lubrication systems, Engine control systems, major internal engine repairs/overhauls, installation and alignment of engines and machinery and electrical repairs.
- Experience on Motor Graders, Dozers, Tractors, Dump trucks, Shovels, TLB’s, Various size & different makes of Excavators and Front-end loaders, Drill rigs, Trucks and buses, as well as have vast motor spares experience.
- Experience in Motor vehicles; replacing engines, steering mechanisms transmissions, electrics and braking systems.
- Experience in running workshop operations, overseeing plant maintenance, repairs and inspections on Mining Sites.
- Experience in Maintaining fleet vehicles and having a planned maintenance program that is followed by all mechanics. Performing general and preventative maintenance, as well as service records, maintenance records and part inventory and management.
- Experience in Mining environments, with focus on health, safety and risk management strategies, providing fast, efficient and organised back up for production targets, housekeeping on Mining sites, supervising and co-ordinating support function.
- Running daily job coaching and on-site training sessions; demonstrating ideas and efforts to improve operations, cut costs where can, improve on turnaround time to repair machines & Streamline processes. Must have good communication skills and be able to manage Mining sites and employees.
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the related field, mainly mining
- -Certificate/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Certificate in Diesel plant fitting
- Certificate of Motor/ Plant Mechanics- including diesel and tractor mechanics
