REFUSE COLLECTOR wanted at Bobirwa Sub District Council

POST: REFUSE COLLECTOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Citizens for the above post tenable in Tobane

SALARY A3 (P18, 864 – P22, 416) per annum

LEAVE RATE: 20 working days

BENEFITS: Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme; Government pays 50% and Employee 50%

AGE: 18 -45 years

QUALIFICATION: Standard 7 (PSLE) or Junior Certificate

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide sanitary services to the community

DUTIES
-Collect and dispose of refuse in private individual dwellings and communal refuse pits along streets, highways and patrols
-Removal and sanitary disposal of dead animals in the village and along highways
-Maintain refuse disposal sites in the district by burning of combustible refuse, clearing of weeds and cutting of trees.
-Assists in the destruction of food/drugs seized and condemned by the Health Inspector under supervision
-Participates in Clean Up campaigns
-Participate in pest control programmes by identifying potential breeding grounds of mosquitoes, harbourages of rodents
-Assists in the application of rodenticides against rodents
-Undertakes any other duty to meet the exigencies of the service.
