RESEARCH GRANT ADMINISTRATOR – BIUST





Overview

The University is looking for a qualified and experienced individual for this position;

The position is based at BUIST Campus, Palapye. The position is offered on contract basis of up to 5 years


Main Purpose of the Job

To provide high quality research grant administration services to the BUIST community and key stakeholders and ensure that the University maintains good reputation for effective grant management and administration




Education
Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Experience

A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in a computerized accounting environment

Key Performance Areas


Administer specified external and/or BUIST internal research grant and fellowship schemes
Plan, organize and participate in research funding seminars/workshops for specific schemes or projects
Create new accounts for research grants, monitor all expenses, verify availability of funds and allowable expenses as dictated by funding agencies
Provide expert reviews of grant applications to ensure compliance with scheme guidelines, University policies and procedures
Manage the post award administration of research fellowships and grants including liaison with granting agencies
Coordinates receipt of awards and contract documentation, maintains proposal and funding records in database systems, and prepares schedules and special reports, studies and analysis
