SAFETY HEALTH ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY OFFICER
Main Purpose of the Job
Directly reporting to the Head of Human Resources your role as the Safety Health Environment and Quality Officer (SHEQ) will be to implement, coordinate, monitor, and maintain the SHE programme in MRI to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, standards, and legal requirements.
Key Perfomance Areas
- Developing and implementing a companywide SHE programme and ensuring that robust health and safety policies are in place to cultivate a safe workplace environment for both employees and clients.
- Conducting routine inspections and audits as per the schedule to minimise and correct any deviations and non-conformances from the set standards.
- Identifying hazards associated with operations and implementing the appropriate safety measures to reduce operational risk, health and safety incidents.
- Ensure effective investigation, analysis, and reporting of incidents and near misses in line with the SHE program.
- Conducting staff training on health and safety issues, policies & procedures and ensuring that the organisation is compliant will all legislative/regulatory SHE standards and requirements.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- You will need to possess a bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a related field, with the necessary certification as a health, safety environment and/or quality officer.
- ISO 9001/2015 and ISO Lead Auditor 45001/2018.
- A minimum of five (5) years in the field is a requirement.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrable ability to influence.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports.
- Ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams and work with minimal supervision.
