SALES ASSOCIATE POSITION:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to design and implement effective marketing strategies to sell insurance products. The responsibility includes reaching out to potential clients, establish rapport, and understand client’s requirements to offer suitable insurance policies based on the client’s needs. The incumbent will prepare reports on business performance, maintain records, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Ultimately, the goal is to acquire new clients, build strong relationships, and contribute to the growth of the insurance business.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

1.Design and implement effective marketing strategies to acquire new business.
2.Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking and using referrals.
3.Appraise the wishes and demands of customers and sell the suitable insurance products.
4.Collect information from clients on their risk profiles in order to offer them the proper solutions.
5.Prepare reports on the success of your business endeavours.
6.Retain continuous awareness of transactions and effectively close sales.
7.Follow applicable insurance laws; Regulatory Frameworks, Insurance Industry Act of Botswana, NBFIRA Act, and compliance to Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
8.Managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with clients and brokers.

EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum of 5 years work experience in an insurance environment.
•Excellent knowledge of insurance policies and ability to relate policy provisions to the loss exposure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related Business discipline.
•Insurance qualifications and Member of a Professional Institute will be an added advantage.
