Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and sign off pre task risk assessment of the entire teams during their shift
• Authorize blasting operations and ensure exclusion zones are secured
• Enforce zero tolerance to safety violations
• Emergency response coordinator
• Complete and submit daily statutory reports to the mining manager
• Execute the shift production plan
• Manage interfaces between mining, drilling, geology, maintenance teams
• Oversee all crew on shift
• Address performance, conduct, or safety issues on shift
• Conduct shift change meetings to ensure seamless handover and takeover
• Mentor and develop other Junior Miners for succession planning
• Review and approve timesheets for crews on shift

Requirements

• Diploma in Mining Engineering
• 3 Years’ experience in an underground mine
• Underground Blasting License
• Strong understanding of geotechnical stability
• Highest level of safety consciousness
• Able write reports in English
