SITE SUPERVISOR – CIVIL (SUBSTATION)

DESCRIPTION:

There is one vacancy in Maun Botswana for a Civil Site Supervisor in the substation division reporting to the Project Manager & Site Manager.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITY:

To manage the site employees, equipment and material in order to ensure that the project is completed within the set timeframes, cost and quality. Providing continuous, structured feedback on all activities on site. Provide regular progress reports to the Contract Engineer (as per daily/weekly/monthly progress reporting structure). Interact with the client on all levels of implementation. Negotiate extras and advise the client of any problems that may arise (with input from the engineer). Interact with all site staff, giving clear instructions and constantly monitor the site morale. Communicate with employees of all ranks on-site as well as management and engineers. Liaise with the Contract Engineer in making decisions that could adversely affect the progress of the project. Managing relationships with Business Unit Divisional Personnel, Project Engineers. Stores. Shipping Department, Site Managers through clear communication. Implements and maintains measures to promote good working relations with the client, other contractors and suppliers

KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Senior Certificate
• Certificate / Diploma in Project Management
• Supervisory Certificate beneficial
• 15 years + experience as a Site Supervisor in an Engineering environment
• ± A years construction supervisory beneficial
• Health and safety qualification beneficial
• OSH Act & other applicable Health & Safety Acts, based on environment
• Familiar with Regulations for high voltage
