Key Responsibilities

  • 1. STRATEGY MANAGER
  • To continuously assess cross industry best practices, new business models and techniques to enhance and formalize current and operational planning practices. Additional duties include acceleration organizational performance through cohesive and integrated strategy planning and execution, knowledge management, the implementation of a dashboard to assess impact and organizational effectiveness as well as facilitating strategy development and alignment across CEDA’s divisions/departments.
  • Key Performance Areas: Corporate Performance Management, Strategy Translation, Business Analysis, Market Intelligence, Change Management Enablement, Execution & Delivery, Problem Analysis and judgement, Business Reporting.
  • 2. LITIGATION OFFICER
  • To support the Litigation Unit in managing litigated accounts and ensuring compliance with legal procedures, while safeguarding CEDA’s revenue collections and minimizing financial risk. The Litigation Secretary will provide high-quality administrative and legal support, assist in coordinating external legal services, and ensure efficient execution of litigation processes in line with CEDA’s mandate as a Development Finance Institution.
  • Key Performance Areas: Litigation Process Management, Auction Sales Coordination, Collections and Recoveries, External Service Provider Management, Internal and External Customer Service, Compliance and Reporting, Additional Responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 1. STRATEGY MANAGER
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Banking/Economics business or equivalent. A professional qualification or certification in Strategy Management, Performance Management or their equivalent is preferred (e.g. Balanced Scorecard).
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience in a related field preferably in a financial institution. Industry experience in a commercially oriented environment is preferred with relevant strategic management experience.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and understanding of strategic management, business analysis, business model optimization, change management and performance management.
  • Competencies: Analysing Information, Action Orientation, Commercial Awareness, Planning and Organising, Change Management, Service Orientation, Communication, CEDA Values.
  • 2. LITIGATION OFFICER
  • Qualifications: Certificate in Secretarial Studies or Certificate in Law. A Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Law, or Paralegal Studies is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum Of 3 Years’ Experience In a Legal Environment, Preferably Within A Corporate Legal Department, A Law Firm, Or A Litigation-Focused Institution.
  • Familiarity With Sales In Execution, Repossession Processes, And Court Procedures.
  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite and Legal Case Management Software.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of litigation procedures and court processes in Botswana. Proficiency in modern legal and case management software such as SAP or document automation systems. Familiarity with compliance requirements for Development Finance Institutions.
