Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ministry of Local Government & Traditional Affairs employees for the post tenable in the City of Francistown Council. To undertake maintenance and repair works as well as building construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and prioritization of maintenance requirements and drawing up of maintenance schedules for building works.
- Preparation of details and drawings from issued / approved sketches.
- Monitoring and inspecting private developments and reporting to the supervisor.
- Preparing preliminary cost estimates for minor maintenance building works.
- Preparation and development of building maintenance schedules.
- Ensures safe keeping of technical data and documents for the division.
- Supervision of building maintenance and construction works.
- Ensuring proper use and safety of tools, equipment and materials used by technicians in building maintenance works.
- Under takes any other duties as directed by management.
Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Direct Entry.
- Prospective candidates should attach certified copy of registration and valid practicing certificate as Graduate Engineering Technician from the Engineers Board (ERB).
- Date of first appointment and appointment to present post (attach letter of appointment to present post)
