Kennedy Schasher Holdings is a diagnostics company servicing government and private health facilities. The company is seeking the services of a committed and self-self-driven Biomedical Engineer who will join our small and dynamic team of Field Service Engineers as a Technical Services Manager and lead the Biomedical Engineering Unit.
Summary:
Provides technical leadership and develops applicable training and resources for medical staff to ensure correct and safe operations of all equipment and devices. Works with vendors to maintain up-to-date information about new products and equipment upgrade.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of the Biomedical Engineering Unit to meet the company’s contractual obligations, goals and vision.
- Monitor the department’s Key Performance Indicators.
- Fulfill contact management responsibilities with relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Supervise Field Service Engineers and conduct performance review based on company policies.
- Prepare and submit work schedules, work plans, budgets and performance reports as required.
- Contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the business by developing, reviewing policies, processes and procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair of designated equipment.
- Ordering and managing service kits, repair parts life cycles.
- Maintain inventory, stock records and facilitate deliveries.
- Maintain tools and test equipment.
- Support Applications Specialists in troubleshooting, conducting end user trainings and solving technical problems with designated equipment
- Maintain weekly communication with key stakeholders, internal, internal service records and customer service logs.
- Conduct site and customer visits to engage with end users and manage client relation.
- Identify and participate in sales opportunities, contact renewals and new contract sales.
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Relevant registrations with regulatory and or professional bodies
- Atleast 2 years of progressive work experience
- Experience working with government institutions is an added advantage
