We are looking for skilled and motivated Technical Services to join our project team. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing and managing new greenfield coal mine geotechnical, geologicaland mine planning functions to support the mine business plans for coal production aimed at maximizing value from the resource to meet the requirements of the company’s customer and adherence to compliance to applicable mining legislations to ensure the achievement of company business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage geotechnical, geological, and mine planning functions for the new greenfield coal mine.
- Develop and implement mine plans to support coal production aligned with business objectives.
- Maximize value extraction from coal resources while meeting customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable mining legislation, standards, and regulations.
- Monitor and control project execution to align with approved schedules and production targets.
- Coordinate seamlessly with geotechnical, geological, survey, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.
Requirements
- Applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Rock Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Should have 10+ years post qualification experience in the mining industry. Knowledge and use of Mining Software(s) shall be an added advantage.
