Alexander Forbes Financial Services Botswana (Pty) Ltd is inviting interested candidates to apply for the position of Technical Trainer. The individual will join a team reporting to the Executive Operations and Administration.
The role
To support the Administration & Accounts Team with maintaining best practices by designing and implementing processes & procedure training that support ISAE3402 standards
Key Performance Areas
- Develop and maintain best practice maps, process and procedure documents.
- Develop and maintain system manuals and guides.
- Provide system and technical training support for all staff.
- Assist in testing new system developments
- Train and evaluate new administration staff on the Line of Business system.
- Maintain record of training delivered and assessment scores.
- Prepare training reports for leadership team as required.
- Quarterly testing and measuring staff competency
Design and implement training that supports ISAE3402 standards
Interested candidates will need to demonstrate the following: Qualifications/ Experience
- A Business related degree or equivalent
- A qualification in training or teaching would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years’ experience in training and development.
- Strong background and experience in Pension Fund administration and accounting.
- Previous work experience on Alex and Compen an advantage
Knowledge & Skills
- knowledge of Financial Services operations specifically in the Pension Fund Industry
- knowledge of the financial services business and applicable legislation including Pension Fund Administration
- Strong Knowledge of Operations, Admin and Accounts
- Strong knowledge of Employee risk benefits and new business processing procedures
- Knowledge of Client Services
- Computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of Client Services
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Basic Risk management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Strong level of responsibility and accountability
